Frequently Asked Questions

  • Why did you start a Christian school?

Our church runs several different programs for children and youth. We saw there was a need for a private, Christian school in the Copperas Cove area. Particularly, we wanted to open a school that will provide Biblically-based training for the children in our community.

  • What curriculum does your school use?

Our school uses the Abeka curriculum, a proven curriculum that has been used by Christian schools for over 40 years.

  • How well does your curriculum compare to the public schools?

Our curriculum is regularly evaluated and compared with the state standards and often exceeds the state standards.

  • Is enrollment reserved for church members of Victory Baptist Church?

CTBA exercises an open enrollment policy, meaning that students in the community may enroll. However, since we actively want to limit class sizes, we have a thorough interview process to determine if our school will be the right fit for potential students.

  • What is the teacher to student ratio (class size)?

Our teacher to student ratio is 1:15 maximum. Our ideal class size is 1 teacher per 10 students.

  • Registration

After determining the student’s eligibility for enrollment, an official letter of acceptance is given to the family, along with instructions to begin the registration process.

  • Is CTBA accredited?

CTBA strives to achieve all the requirements needed for accreditation. However, the accreditation process takes a minimum of 3-5 years. Since we are a new school, CTBA is not yet accredited.

  • What grades are you offering?

We are accepting applications for kindergarten-6th grade.

  • How do I submit an application?

You can start the application process by filling out a contact form on our school website. Our school office will provide you with additional details on how to proceed with the application process.

  • Do we have to pay tuition, or is the school a free service to my family?

Families pay tuition in order for their children to attend. We do our best to keep tuition costs at a minimum, and structure the payments to already include registration fees, curriculum, and recurring charges.

  • Why should I pay for private education if my child can go to public school for free?

We understand that sending your child to a private school is a financial sacrifice. However, you must also consider the value you are providing your child. By sending your child to a private school, you have a higher staff to student ratio, which leads to increased school safety. We intentionally keep the class sizes smaller, meaning your child will receive more attention from the teachers. Your child’s developmental progress will also be better monitored. Also, we offer an education centered on the Bible, meaning that we will also be teaching and modeling Christian character traits and Godly morals in our school.

  • How much is the tuition?

Tuition varies depending on grade. For kindergarten, the cost is $5,000/year or $500/month. For elementary grades, the cost is $6,000/year or $600/month.

  • What payment options are available?

Payments can be made at the beginning of the year or broken up into 10 payments from August to May. Payments are submitted online through our payment portal. Payments are made online through the family portal.

  • Are there any discounts/financial aid available?

We are currently offering discounts for early enrollment. Those who register between January 1 and June 1 will receive a 10% discount.

  • When does the school day start and end?

School starts at 8am and ends at 3pm for elementary grades. Kindergarten starts at 8am and ends at noon.

  • Does CTBA offer transportation?
